大胆的 & Gold Weekend: A Celebration of the BW Family

Arrive on campus with your BW family and join us for gatherings especially for parents and families, alumni and the entire BW community.

11 a.m. — BW Baseball Golf Outing
Join the Baldwin Wallace University baseball staff and the rest of the baseball family as they kick off the 2024 season with their annual alumni and friends golf outing at Pine Hills Golf Club in Hinckley, Ohio.

5:30 p.m. — Black Alumni Network Memorial Service
Gather with the Black Alumni Network family to honor and memorialize Margaret Ann Harris '84 in the Lindsay-Crossman Chapel.

6:30 p.m. — Black Alumni Network Meet & 问候
The Black Alumni Network and Black Student Alliance will gather for a casual meet and greet at the Black Cultural Center to kick off 大胆的 & Gold Weekend. Come reconnect with old friends and make new connections with BW alumni and students. Light food & beverages included. Cost is $5 per person. View additional Black Alumni Network events.

6:30 p.m. — Rewind Reunion for 1990s and 2000s Graduates
Spend the evening in the Knowlton Center rewinding with friends and enjoying great food, drinks and entertainment with your classmates from the '90s and '00s. Tickets are $15 and must be reserved by September 23. Tickets include station-style appetizers and desserts, one drink ticket and entertainment. Spouses and guests welcome!

6:30 - 8 p.m. — Cheer Alumni Gathering
Join the Yellow Jacket STUNT and Cheer Teams in the Lou Higgins Recreation Center MODS for a meet and greet with fellow YJ4Ls as we prep for Game Day. Learn BW's newest Yellow Jacket spirit chants and share great memories with your fellow alumni. If you plan on learning material with the teams, please wear appropriate athletic attire and shoes. 7 p.m.— Parent and Family BINGO
Join the Parent and Family Advisory Board for a fun-filled Friday night of complimentary BINGO — no experience needed! Bring your family to test your luck and enjoy a lively evening together in the Center for Innovation and Growth (CIG), Rooms 112, 113 and 114.

Featuring Tchaikovsky's Symphony No. 5. Enjoy this event in person in Gamble Auditorium or via live stream. Learn more >>

7 p.m. — Parent and Family Haunted BW Tour 
BW is a very old campus with a long history and some well-kept haunted secrets that will be revealed on an evening lantern tour. Many of BW’s buildings are well over a century old; there is something in these buildings that cannot seem to ever leave. And we are not talking about fifth- or sixth-year students. Dan Karp, Chief Marketing Officer for BW, will be your guide as you explore campus in search of stories that haunt BW. A one-hour tour includes access to rarely seen areas of campus, history and hair-raising stories that make BW one of the most haunted colleges in the U.S. Tour begins in the Center for Innovation and Growth (CIG) Atrium. Participant limit of 50.

8:30 p.m. — Light up the Night with Your BW Family
Cap off the evening with your BW family on the North Quad for a light show and DJ party. This free, family-friendly event is open to students, alumni, parents and families, and community members. 

Start your day with a visit to the Welcome Tent and learn about the day's activities.

11 a.m. — Annual BW 首页coming Parade
Featuring the BW Marching Band, Stinger, various student groups and more. Back by popular demand – join us at the Parade Bandstand for featured performances from our BW family. Join one of the many Viewing Hives (Alumni Marching Band, Cheer Team Alumni, Jacket LINK, Black Alumni Network + BSA, Parent and Family) being hosted during the parade.

11:30 a.m. — Festival Food & Fun on North Quad
Enjoy a variety of festival dining options on North Quad, including food trucks (Off the GRIDdle, CLE Chicken, Dominic's Sausage and Grand Pacific Popcorn Company). 访问 the engagement tents, the Alumni Tent and the Parent & Family Tent to connect with BW students, faculty, staff, alumni and families. Lunchtime programming will feature performances by the BW Marching Band and other extraordinary student groups, BW 首页coming Court presentation, a pre-game rally with Coach Hilvert and more!

BW Dining Services will offer two meal options:

1:30 p.m. – Alumni & Friends Spirit Garden
Raise a toast with fellow Yellow Jackets while cheering on our Yellow Jacket Football Team at the big game. Light snacks and refreshments (beer & wine) provided. $10 pre-registration admission gives full access to the Alumni & Friends Spirit Garden Tent, at the South End Zone of Tressel Field in George Finnie Stadium. Walk up registration will be accepted with $20 admission. Capacity is limited to 100 people, so be sure to register in advance. This event is 21+ only; guests must present I.D. upon entry.
